  1. Buffalo Tom, Tubularsock just happens to have a small firm selling Bubbles which upon purchase, you too can sing, “I’m forever blowing bubbles, pretty little bubbles in the air . . .”

The cost is not high but all as in “all fall down”.

BUT in the mean time if you would bind up stacks of unmarked Franklins stuffed into plain brown lunch bags and send them to:

    Tubularsock Bubbles, Ltd.
    666 Corporation Avenue
    Getaway, CA 99666

    It would be appreciated.

Tubularsock thanks you Buffalo Tom for another enlightening post.

    • Hahahahaha! We bought our bubble machine at a going-out-of-business auction for the Lawrence Welk Show we had to outbid one of the Champagne Ladies’, Norma Zimmer, who was prepared to bid as high as $5 for it! After the auction Norma tried to beat us up in the parking lot!👍

    • LOL! Norma Zimmer tried to beat us up in the parking lot at the going out of business sale for the Lawrence Welk Show when we bid $6 for the bubble machine, topping Norma Zimmer’s $5 bid!
I don’t think Lesley was related to Al Gore. she was asked about it in an interview and I’m pretty sure she said she didn’t think so. I’m usually a blues and R&B fan but Lesley Gore could always knock my socks off! Her collaborations with Quincy Jones are outstanding. I have a feeling that she will continue to be rediscovered and rediscovered again and again. she started out as a jazz singer and returned to that later and her life. her debut album “I’ll Cry If I Want To” featured her teen R&R hit “It’s My Party” right alongside Jazz standards like “Cry Me a River!’
      ^^🐵

    • Thank you, Gerry! I’ve been trying to give birth to this post for over a week. I thought it was going to be an epic post… LOL!… And it turned out to be a trifle… and then today the breaking news it’s all about the wheels coming off the Trump Administration and the entire Republican Party from Fox News on down. Interesting days are ahead.👍👊

  2. Bravo again for a terrific post, Buffalo Tom! I’d forgotten that the two biggest financial meltdowns in our nation’s history occurred after years of a Rethuglican administration in the White House. So much for fiscal conservatism!

I also read up on the Panic of 1893, which was set in motion two weeks before Democrat Grover Cleveland was inaugurated, after a 4-year hiatus while Rethuglican Ben Harrison was Prez. The panic wasn’t really Harrison’s fault, though Cleveland later got blamed for it. (historians place the blame first on the collapse of the wheat market in Argentina of all places, which led to a run on silver in U.S. financial markets by European countries trying to cut their losses) but I digress…

    • You are so right! Did you come across the stock market crash related to tulip bulbs? It’s hard to believe that at one point tulip bulbs were a high-stakes investment commodity.
From there very start, in the 1850s, the Republicans have been Financial bubble makers… cleaning up when the bubbles break. Right now the Wall Street bubble is being inflated by speculation over the five and a half trillion dollar Republican tax scam. When that bubble brakes and the Republicans bailout Wall Street with taxpayer money the total cost of theis Republican depression could go as high as 10 trillion dollars… owed to China… if we can recover it all.
Currently Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan are busy breaking Social Security by defunding Administration costs so that SS cannot adequately administer the program which will irritate the public and then Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell will start yelling “See Social Security is broken we need to privatize it and turn it over to Wall Street bankers!” Breaking government and stealing our money is the ultimate Republican goal. Unfortunately people like the Trump supporters never get tired of working their tails off to keep billionaires in fresh yachts.
