The Trump Tower Caper (18): Under The Bus

Don’t forget to look both ways before crossing the street!

      • There are some rumblings on the rumour mill that this Conservative government are trying to run down the NHS until it becomes unfit for purpose before selling off chunks of it to their wealthy cronies. There will be rioting in the streets if that ever happens Tom and I’ll be at the front with my pitchfork held aloft!

      • That is a tactic that our Republicans have used for decades. they take an excellent program that works beautifully and underfund it and mismanage it. when it starts to fail, they start yelling “See we told you the government can’t do anything right!” Creep boy Ronald Reagan started it over here with his “The government is the problem” and trickle-down philosophy.
The good news is, I live in a very conservative area and everywhere I go it is anti-Trump. This has never happened before. if Trump and Mike Pence along with Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan succeed in turning off the South, they are DONE. the feeling here is a Donald Trump thinks the White House is a shack (Down here most of us still refer to the White House as “The People’s House.”) and the Congressional Republicans are way too cozy with Ayn Rand and the whole Russia thing is not making the many many military families the least bit happy. here in the South we are intimately acquainted with poverty and the Trump publicans are smelling more and more like Carpetbaggers every day.

      • After careful deliberation and a period of profound meditation, I have concluded that the 45th POTUS is as mad as a fucking broomstick.
Thanks for the heads-up Tom. I always appreciate your perspective. It mirrors my own you see 😀

      • This morning Trump is turning his crazy paranoid gaze toward North Korea and China because a lunatic has no problem with starting World War 3 in order to cover up his secret pile of smelly turds. Bitchy Mitchy McConnell and Paul Ryan need to take the Walk up Pennsylvania Avenue and demand Trump’s resignation. Then we can start on Mike Pence…

  1. In less than two months, a homeowners insurance premium reduction that would have helped about a million homeowners was repealed (that was in his first two hours), environmental regulations which tend to help people in less affluent areas are under threat along with anti-climate change actions, HUD will receive less funding as helping with affordable housing seems to be less important, the travel ban attempts and rhetoric have reduced travel and students to the US which is harming the economy and the proposed repeal and replacement of the ACA is very harmful to the majority of Trump voters while making use the wealthy get tax breaks. But, wait, you said….

    • Beautifully said, Keith! Since the 1980s, Reagan administration, over 1 trillion dollars has trickled up FROM the poor and middle class to the billionaire plutocrats. There must be a limit or a point at which Republican greed “pulls down their own tents.” How long can they push this agenda with only 22% public support? The economy will definitely take a hit from Trump’s paranoid executive orders. maybe that will get everyone’s attention…
Thank you, Keith, for your thoughtful comment!

      • Many thanks. Trickle Down economics has been proven to be an unsuccessful measure in four separate studies, the last one of which was done by the non-partisan Congressional Research Office completed in October, 2012. The reason very few heard of the last report, is Senator Mitch McConnell had it buried before the Obama/ Romney election per The New York Times.

      • I always learn something from you and I thank you for it. I live in a very conservative area and people have definitely soured on Trump and his entire Administration. People are also finally paying attention to McConnell and Ryan. Congressional Republicans have made a huge mistake in thinking southern states don’t realize the importance of Federal anti-poverty programs. we also know that we cannot afford these programs without the federal government. Mitch McConnell, Donald Trump and Mike Pence want to mess with Me-Maw & Pe-Paw’s Medicaid, Social Security and Medicare (which benefits the entire family and is a huge driver of our economy) it will spell the end of the “Republican Southern Strategy.” Abject poverty is a reality and a recent memory around here and Republicans are starting to smell like The Carpetbaggers they are and have always been.
Keith, please continue to check in and share you’re intelligent insight! 👍👍

    • Thank you! We did have a fun st. Patrick’s Day watching old movies! I’m sure you had a great st. Patrick’s Day because you are so resourceful
As you know, me and the guys, normally do not use curse words… but we made a Saint Patrick’s Day resolution that the following names are now acceptable when applied to Donald Trump, Mike Pence, Mitch McConnell, Paul Ryan, Steve Bannon and all other Republicans:
lard-ass, dumb-ass, hateful lard-ass, hateful dumbass, dumb ignorant lard ass, dumb ignorant dumbass, big fat lying dumbass, big fat lying lard-ass, big fat greedy lard-ass, big fat greedy dumbass… okay okay… I’m sure you recognize the pattern that is starting to form. LOL here is an example of how it is used in a sentence: “The big fat lard ass in the White House wants to tell the rest of us how much we can eat while he shovels everything in sight into his big fat gaping Maw!”

    • It is horrifying. I think the most horrifying part is the huge group of corporatists who believe there is an argument to be made in favor of the pure evil that is today’s Republican Party in the United States. Republicans are no longer a political party because they don’t know how to govern and they don’t want to govern. They are an anti-government domestic terrorist group funded by the Koch brothers and other billionaires with the sole purpose of subverting democracy and “picking the rest of us clean.” They have already successfully converted capitalism into wage slavery…. we all know what democracy is and the Trump crime family, fronting today’s Republicans, isn’t democracy. I have to admit it is humorous hearing all of the pundits claim that there is a point behind the absurdity of Trump’s first 100 days.
