    • LOL! I don’t know who Trump will appoint to his cabinet but conservative seem to always return to the same Rat Hole to find them. Witness George W Bush resurrecting the criminals from Ronald Reagan’s Administration. Donald Trump is a gold spray-painted bum. Like all Republicans in modern history Trump will pick the middle class clean and finish the job George W Bush started. it’s true, we get the government we deserve. unfortunately we all have to suffer along with the morons who elected him. I’ve noticed all the people, that I know, who voted for Trump are just poor versions of him; angry, depressed and not very smart.
The next four years will be very interesting.

    • Hahahahaha! The u.s. is definitely a mystery wrapped in a riddle looking very much like a conundrum. I can’t help but think that the rest of the world looks at United States as the noisy; stupid neighbors who have a house full of fat 5 year olds with credit cards and cars. I said “credit cards” because George W Bush took all our money when he was president.
      😨

    • You are so kind, Tammy.
Hillary did win the popular vote. Fortunately President Obama cut the deficit by a trillion dollars during his administration because Donald Trump “The Bum” will spend and steal the taxpayer’s money like a drunken sailor… as has become the custom for republicans since Ronald Reagan.
over the years I have been able to formulate a single sentence that expresses my feelings about conservatives and Republicans… & it is:
“New BAIT in the same old TRAP” because there’s only so much you can do with greed and sociopathy.
      😨

      • Love that phrase! This time it is much worse with the presidency, house, senate and supreme court nominees locked exclusively into republican interests. Shaking my head here, it’s a dictatorship in democracy.

      • On the positive side, I feel Trump is a bigger problem for republicans because they can only sacrifice so much human decency before people begin to revolt. Would it be a laugh if Republicans are forced to work with Democrats to prevent Trump and Pence from destroying all of their “beautiful conservative wickedness?” Because of gerrymandering Republicans did not receive the popular vote in the House and Senate either. Republicans are thoroughly corrupted and, let’s face it, Democrats have been way too nice. We need to stop believing that Republicans can change. We need to stop believing in rehab and 12 step programs that only work less than 10% of the time. I do know that Republicans are no longer an opposition party that keeps politics and the nation in balance” and they always over reach because they are greedy. it could also be, as Mark Twain and Charles Dickens predicted, Greed vs. Generosity will be the eternal struggle. the combination of want and ignorance is a lethal mixture… If that’s the case them constant vigilance is the answer.

      • When hardly any of the Republicans had the integrity, class or conviction to stand up and say they are not voting for Trump that was it for me. It was all about winning, not morality, not conviction, not about America. It was about winning for personal agenda. I have lost every ounce of respect for every single Republican that could not stand up and publicly say no to Trump and all the damage he was doing. Oh, there isn’t a better example than that, their true colors showed.

      • Well said.
Republican leadership is already all over the media with their plans of destroying the social safety net. Won’t Trump supporters be surprised when Mom and Dad move in because the social safety net no longer makes it possible for them to live independently? No longer helps with their Healthcare? Fortunately stupid people never tire of Starting Over Again and again and again and again.

    • No matter what anyone says , Trump lost the popular vote and it is going to be very difficult for a person with his temperament to deal with all of the protesting that is definitely coming. He’s already called protesters “whiny babies.” And so the usual Republican divisivness begins. I can’t help but laugh at “The Hope Springs Eternal crowd” because greed and sociopathy don’t leave much room for hope. Conservatives and Republicans are the personification of cynicism and hopelessness. They cannot change or be changed. Charles Dickens spent a lifetime warning the world about greedy sociopaths… 😨🙈

      • What’s really funny, is that if the roles were reversed and Clinton won by electoral college, you can just imagine what the racists would be doing right now…
They sure as hell wouldn’t be as magnanimous and dignified as the Democrats are being!

      • Bingo! When I read through Hillary’s campaign web page a few months back… I said to myself “Wow, us progressives are really getting our act together”
After the orange Hitler acquaints himself with his new political environment… the real fireworks will start.

Now that Trump has announced that all of his campaign claims and accusations we’re all just exaggerations and lies… it’ll be interesting watching his anti-government supporters fade away and turn against him.
It’s good to see progressives and Democrats pulling together and vowing to protect those who will be harmed by this hateful president, House of Representatives and Senate.
I laughed yesterday when the news media announced how wonderfully Donald Trump was behaving. Apparently they’ve never seen a con artist at work or known any narcissists. Hang in there with us, Jim and thank you for your wonderful blog and your contributions here on our blog! 👍👍

    • Thanks, so much for reblogging! The spiteful stupidity of this election is stunning! I heard some Republican Fat Heads recommend that Democrats reevaluate all of their policies and approach… I guess Donald Trump losing the popular vote and being placed in office by rednecks has completely escaped them… As usual. Morons.

      • No kidding – I’m already getting attacked by some in the blog-o-sphere simply for some articles that I re-blogged! The attack dogs have been loosed, now that they’ve listened to the piercing “dog-whistle” speeches long enough…they’re ready to lash out and bite anyone and everyone who doesn’t agree with them, point-by-point, down their crazy line!

Hitler liked it when people walked in lock-step…I refuse to do so!

      • I’m sorry to hear this. After giving this election a lot of thought, I think the scariest part is Republicans have finally caused many Americans to throw Common Sense out the window. Political candidates are vetted because common sense and experience have demonstrated good things come from good people. Good things never come from bad people. The new Republic and Common Sense tells us a child molesting priest is A-OK. we all know it isn’t okay but the victory for Republicans is, sometimes it is ok… When it suits us.
I’m a very optimistic person but I have never been a sucker. Trump is not my president and nothing good can come from this bum who, like all Republicans, will just make it up as he goes along to suit himself. When right and wrong become fluid and interchangeable anarchy will be the only result.
I think the best we can do is hang in there until the scenery changes. Fortunately. It is an innate part of our better nature to reject people who jerk us around too much and Trump promises to go the limit. 😨

    • Thanks, Brent! I’m still shaking my head over all of the change promised by Trump and now that he is in, he’s appointing the same old Washington crooked Republican insiders and lobbyists to his cabinet. Mark Twain said, conservative government will forever be ALL about picking the “public pocket.”
